LEXINGTON, Kentucky. (March 16, 2020) – With the start of spring break, University of Kentucky Transportation Services will adjust parking and transportation services to reflect the needs of the campus’s shrinking population. Decisions regarding levels of service for the next two weeks of in-person teaching suspension after spring break (Sunday March 22 through Sunday April 5) will be communicated in the coming days.

University bus routes
The Orange Route (UK Healthcare) will continue to operate on a regular schedule. However, the weekday blue, white and green campus routes will operate on a modified schedule from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20.

The weekend’s Yellow Route will not be in service on Saturday March 21. It will resume on Sunday March 22, operating from 9 a.m. to midnight.

Kentucky Wildcab and paratransit
Kentucky Wildcab will not operate from Thursday March 19 through Saturday March 21. Paratransit services on weekdays will also not operate during spring break, from Monday March 16 to Friday March 20.

Changes to the control of parking permits
From Saturday March 14 to Sunday March 22, all employee lots will remain checked for permits as usual. Most student parking areas will require a valid permit with the following exceptions: R2, R7, R17, R18, R19, R29, R30 and R34, which will remain limited to lot specific permits only. All batches will resume normal application from 5 a.m. on Monday March 23. Please refer to the individual lot signage to confirm control times.
