FG trains 3,000 N-Power beneficiaries on hardware and software engineering – Blueprint Newspapers Limited


In pursuit of its efforts to reduce unemployment in Nigeria, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has trained more than 3,000 N-Power beneficiaries on computer hardware and software engineering in the field. N-Tech framework.

The beneficiaries were selected from the states of the north-central geopolitical zone, including the Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi and the Federal Capital Territory.

Speaking to reporters on Friday in Abuja, in view of the conclusion of the training program organized for the Public

Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Kubwa Road, the CEO of the Ministry’s Human Resources Department, Mr. Kalgo Yusuf Muazu, said laptops and other materials will be distributed to beneficiaries at the end of the training.

He said: “The program started on Monday, October 11, 2021, with nearly 3,000 beneficiaries in the Center-North, which include the Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi and Abuja. The beneficiaries were fully accommodated at Vera Gold Hotel, PSIN, Kubwa and received 42,000 N each to cover their transport and food allowances. An additional N15,000 will be given to each of them as a means of transportation to their respective states.

“They were offered free accommodation with air conditioning, water availability, light, security and a good environment.

Two doctors, nurses and drugs were provided, along with three admission beds for beneficiaries.

“Computer hardware trainees will receive work tools and manuals after the training; to sustain and become independent. The software, animation and scriptwriting interns will each receive a laptop computer; take care of themselves at the end of the training.

In conclusion, all beneficiaries will each benefit from a monthly allowance of 10,000 N, from October 2021 for a period of nine months.

Speaking to reporters, one of the beneficiaries, Miss Muhammad Maryam, from Niger State, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity the federal government gave her to become self-employed, instructing other beneficiaries. to make maximum use of training for the betterment of society.

“I am happy to have been selected to benefit from the N-Power program under N-Tech, even without connection. This is an opportunity for life and I plan to make the most of it to settle down in life. I hope that other beneficiaries can devote themselves to learning and practicing all that is taught here to be self-employed. I will also advise the federal government to maintain the training; in order to get many young people off the streets, ”she said.
