Oboronlogistics delivers cargo for the construction of a cultural center in Kaliningrad

Oboronlogistics says it delivers freight for the construction of a cultural center in Kaliningrad.

Since 2019, the large-scale construction of a pole of cultural and educational museums has been started in Kaliningrad on the island of Oktyabrsky, which is one of the priorities of the national cultural project, which is built by decree of the president of the Russian Federation.

The complex includes museums, theaters, educational and residential buildings, recreation areas. Among the project participants: State Hermitage Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, State Mariinsky Academy and Bolshoi Theaters of Russia.

To deliver heavy and oversized cargo and special equipment to the complex construction site, rail ferries from Oboronlogistics LLC, operating on the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk line, are regularly drawn.

Ambal and Baltiysk ferries, in addition to railroad cars, carry large project cargoes on trawls and rolling trailers. This type of delivery is ideally suited for transporting heavy construction machinery and equipment, drilling rigs, pipes, metal structures, utility blocks, etc.

Ferry transport is the most convenient way to transport oversized cargo between the Kaliningrad and Leningrad regions of the Russian Federation, bypassing the territories of neighboring states. The journey time by ferry is approximately 40 hours. Each month, a ferry makes 5 to 6 round trips.

Among the regular shippers of the line: the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Rosgvardiya, the Military Construction Complex of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, JSC Russian Post, JSC Russian Railways, PJSC LUKOIL, LLC Avtotor Holding, Holding Eurocement Group, LLC Baltservice, LLC Baltika, agro-industrial holding Miratorg and other clients.
