It’s quite common for anyone to ask a family member or friend to drive them to doctor’s appointments, physiotherapy sessions, or other medical appointments. You may be doing the same. But why bother someone who might be concerned? Why put them in a position where they can’t say no to your request? Plus, why put them on an unpleasant ride to and from the medical facility? As no one likes to go to the hospital because of the gloomy atmosphere.

It would be best if you spared them all the misery by adopting a more easy-going and self-sufficient approach. Choose a transportation service that can help you with medical treatment, whether it’s an emergency or not. These services are both vital and highly effective. These are commonly called Medical transportation services and are quite safe. Let’s find out what it is and why you should use it.

Why use medical transportation services?

Using medical transport services is essential when you need emergency medical treatment. Indeed, the vehicles used for transit are equipped with everything necessary to keep the health of patients under control until their arrival at the hospital.

Medical transport services are often perceived as being only for emergency medical needs, which is not the truth. Such technologies are available even for non-emergency medical conditions. Let’s look at when and where you would need such a service.

Doctor’s appointments, regular check-ups and consultations

Traveling by regular transport or by car is generally difficult for the elderly, the sick and people undergoing outpatient surgery. These individuals can arrange medical transportation services to travel hassle-free from the comfort of their homes to the medical facility.

People with chronic illnesses must frequently undergo regular check-ups. Such patients should use this facility to get help from qualified medical personnel. Staff can easily lift the patient and provide wheelchair access if needed.

Some service providers go above and beyond for their customers. They assist them in making appointments with the doctor. Also, they help in the disposal of medical and pharmaceutical products. Additionally, they offer to transport patients between labs for testing and screening.

Post-operative assessments

Patients who have undergone surgery should consult their doctor for post-operative check-ups. If they are traveling by traditional means, they may find it very difficult and unpleasant to get in and out of the vehicle. However, if they hire a medical transport service, their experience becomes pleasant and hassle-free. Indeed, deployed specialized transport vehicles are equipped with support systems such as beds and adjustable chairs, ensuring easy and safe transit.

Wheelchair

Wheelchair service is a non-medical requirement; Yet, several companies provide services for this purpose. A disabled or injured patient can use the Wheelchair taxi to attend social gatherings, family functions and other events. Transportation for medical services is also beneficial for seniors who cannot perform daily tasks such as grocery shopping.

Interstate transportation

Many people, or should I say patients, travel to another state. Motivation can range from the demand for climate change to getting better health care. These people can easily benefit from medical transport services. Indeed, ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and systems, such as a life support device, to ensure quality care and optimal patient health while on the move.

International Transport

Medications for a specific condition may not be accessible in the patient’s home country. Or maybe a patient chooses to migrate to another country for various reasons. If a patient is seriously ill or elderly, standard air facilities are insufficient. In such a circumstance, they must arrange an air ambulance service. These trips are known as long-term medical transports, provided by several companies.

Other medical needs

Patients can use medical transport services for dialysis, physiotherapy and chemotherapy. They may feel discomfort if they use the usual mode of transportation. Therefore, turning to new-age services is an ideal choice.

Medical transportation services transfer people with medical and non-medical needs safely. In addition, they are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, whether there is an emergency or not. Moreover, if you use the services of a reputable company, you can rest assured that you and your loved ones are in good hands. Indeed, fully trained drivers often drive ambulances and qualified nurses and other specialists accompany patients.

Medical transport services are protected, convenient and provide high quality care. Indeed, health care is progressing and becoming more and more accessible.

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) recently reported that its Freight Transportation Services Index (Freight TSI) saw a slight increase in January, the most recent month for which data is available. available.

According to BTS officials, the Freight TSI measures monthly changes in freight shipments in ton-miles, which are then combined into a single index. The index measures the output of the for-hire freight transportation industry and consists of data on for-hire trucking, rail, inland waterways, pipelines and air freight.

January’s reading, at 138.9, rose for the fifth consecutive month, rising 1.2% from December and posting an annual gain of 1.7%. It was also 1.8% above the pre-pandemic reading from January 2020, at 136.5 and 2.3% below the all-time high of 142.1, recorded in August 2019.

BTS attributed the sequential increase to seasonally adjusted increases in water, pipelines and trucking, while air freight, carloads and rail intermodal fell. And he added that over the past five months of STI Freight gains, dating back to August 2021, it has seen a cumulative increase of 3.4%, which was preceded by four months of declines.

The STI Freight is 11.0% above the pandemic low of April 2020, with January representing the 14th increase in the last 21 months recorded since then. And that’s 2.3% below the all-time high of 142.1 set in August 2019, with gains in 14 of the last 21 months since then. The January STI Freight is also at its highest level since August 2019.

PTS recently implemented new Parkmobile Event software and just hosted its first event. The ARC team ensures that the implementation runs smoothly and informs its IT group of any problems encountered in the field. Dawson also participates in the University’s Special Events and Activities group. But the coolest thing, according to Dawson, that he is working on is the implementation of license plate recognition (LPR) cameras. PTS has been using LPR software and cameras for several years. Because of this experience, it is often used as a resource for potential new users of the system. LPR enables PTS staff to be more efficient in their operations and ultimately allows them to focus more on their customers and how to serve them better.

“When I started this job in October 2000, we walked around looking for permits on every car, and that’s a lot of steps every day for those of you who matter,” he said. “With LPR, we’ve been able to move away from those pesky physical permits and into a virtual world where the possibilities are endless. With technological advancements getting better every day, I’m excited to see where we are in the next five years.

When he thinks about his favorite part of working for parking and transportation services, he says it’s the people who work with him.

“Our department is full of kind-hearted people who are ultimately there to help customers,” he said. “They come to work with a positive attitude, and that energy is felt throughout the department.”

Inspiration for Dawson comes in many forms. Moments that bring out the good side of humanity are the types of moments that fill it with joy. He says what inspires him to become a better person is “when I see real respect between two people on opposite sides, or someone doing a good deed because it’s the right thing to do. , and not for accolades or personal gain; any crummy movie; videos of baby animals; or real human moments.

Jeremy outside of work

Travel is at the top of the list. Dawson and his wife try to get somewhere at least two to three times a year – preferably on a cruise and, in particular, they like the Caribbean or anywhere with a beach. When not traveling or working, Dawson and his wife work for the Colorado Eagles as off-ice officials. They’re in charge of the group that handles all aspects of the game, things that people always see but rarely think about.

Dawson explains, “From keeping team stats, running the game clock, entering the game into the live scoring system, working the penalty boxes or lighting the goal lights; we are doing it. And we’ve done it since the Eagles’ inception 19 years ago, about 700+ home games.
